Medical examinations may be required for a risk insurance application.
Health Predictions have been providing medical assessment services on behalf of insurance companies since 2001. Our network of highly skilled nursing and medical personnel can complete the assessment in the comfort of your home or workplace.
The results of the medical assessments are sent directly to the referring insurance company or Financial Adviser so the application can be assessed in a timely manner.

Brief Medicals (Quick Check/Express Exam/ Short Medical)
A brief medical assessment is usually conducted by a registered nurse. It includes blood pressure recording, measure of height, weight and collection of a urine sample. It is a common medical testing request by the insurance company.
Paramedical Assessment
A paramedical is similar to a brief medical assessment and are also commonly completed by registered nurses. However, they also includes information relating to medical history and personal habits. It also includes body measurements such as height and weight, blood pressure testing and a urine sample.
General Practitioner Examinations
A General Practitioner exam is a more thorough examination completed by a Medical Practitioner. This exam includes more extensive body examinations and more detailed questions on medical and family history and personal habits.
Telehealth and Tele-interview
Telehealth and tele-interview services enable remote medical assessments and interviews for insurance purposes. Conducted via secure phone calls, these services streamline the collection of health information, support risk evaluation, and improve convenience for clients, while maintaining compliance, confidentiality, and high standards of clinical and underwriting accuracy. The Health Predictions team of General Practitioners, Nurses and our Medical administrative team perform these services for insurance clients and with clinic GP’s for Brief Medical Reports (BMR’s), questionnaires and any other requirement. The use of a Smart Form and/or an audio recording allows the Medical Practitioner to complete the task without completing a hard copy medical report which facilitates a shorter cycle time outcome.
