Specialist assessments may be required where the client is required to attend an appointment with a specific Specialist Medical Practitioner or clinic for a further examination.
In some cases, clients will be required to visit a specialist clinic due to the nature of the testing requested. Health Predictions will manage the appointment process to provide a smooth, and cost free, process for the client.
Additional clinical assessments may include:
- Stress ECG (Electrocardiogram)
- Stress Echo (Echocardiogram)
- Specialist Examination
Stress Electrocardiogram (ECG)
ECG's measure the electrical activity of the heart. Leads are attached to the clients chest, wrist and ankles by a nurse or medical practitioner to measure cardiac electrical activity. This test can be performed "under stress" when the client is exercising, either on a treadmill or exercise bike.
Stress Echocardiogram (ECHO)
An echocardiogram checks how the heart's chambers and valves are pumping blood through your heart using electrodes and ultrasound technology. It can help the doctor to diagnose heart conditions. This test can be performed "under stress" when the client is exercising, either on a treadmill or exercise bike.
Specialist Medical Examination
The specialist medical examiner will review the clients medical and family history and complete an examination, noting details such as height, weight, blood pressure, pulse rate, heart sounds, urinalysis noting any abnormalities in the medical report for the insurance company.
